"Pean's nuanced performance honors the difficult topics of depression, racism, grief, and trauma. Her deliberate and, at times, heavy pacing embodies the emotional weight of Rain's world. Listeners will cry with Rain and root for her and her family. This audiobook gives young people permission to own their feelings and to find ways to heal."

"Pean skillfully captures the suspenseful story as this revelation sets off a series of events that force Jo to confront some hard truths about the society she lives in and what direction she wants her life to take. Pean's narration amps up Jo's anxiety and sense of dread, creating the perfect chilling mood."

Angel is instantly drawn to the YA Literary Fiction that kept her enthralled as a teen. She loves the opportunity to provide a voice for courageous female protagonists overcoming adversity, and her spunky attitude can really help to add layers to any young character with a unique story. Non-Fiction allows her attention to detail, and eagerness to stay engaged, to feed her curiosity in a broad range of topics. Angel is always excited to dive into the characterization that goes into fun, adventurous Sci-Fi novels too! Additionally, with training in Film & TV performance at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, she's more than happy to apply any feedback given and work together to bring your vision to life.

Angel Pean is available to work in studio (Atlanta, GA), as well as in her home studio.
